Tree Plantation
Hareshbhai Sakariya is committed to many causes personal to him and his value system. Giving back to the community through various channels is a way of life for the Sakariya Family.
One such initiative that Hareshbhai and Sunny Sakariya are proud of is working towards making a permanent and irreversible green belt in the district of Botad and its neighborhood.
Hareshbhai has personally planted 2400 trees and contributed to planting and nurturing the plantation of over 7500 trees so far, along with trusts and NGOs like the Sadhbhavna Vrudhashram Trust Rajkot and many such institutions. His mission is continuous along with Sunny Sakariya and the HVK team has been promoting the tree plantation since 2021.
The usually modest HVK group chooses to talk about the tree plantation loudly in social circles so they can coerce a change in society. They urge like-mined donors, from within the social and industry community to take up plantations in their respective zones and areas.
Hareshbhai says “This project may not need a green thumb but one must have a lot of patience, love, and discipline. These young tree saplings like young children, need the most nurturing and protection, to create a strong foundation. Only then can then grow tall and large and shelter the lives of many.” He adds “To take care of our farms villages and Matrubhoomi is not just our duty but responsibility. If we heal Mother Nature only then can we enjoy the fruits she bears.
The tree plantation is cultivated on the vacant land alongside highways, or on barren land in Rampara and the adjacent villages. Each tree is watered every third day and fertilized once a month. The initiative employs the villagers and uses their skills and expertise locally. It is a win-win for everyone for generations and decades to come.
