"When one teaches, two learn"—Robert Heinlein
Last week was an insightful and inspirational week for all at the HVK International Manufacturing Unit in Surat, Gujarat, where a group of 10th-grade students from Shree Swaminarayan HV School, Adajan, visited the factory.
The intention of the event was to provide first-hand exposure to the diamond industry.
HVK aims to impart to 117 young students the understanding that employment opportunities should be based on fairness, irrespective of gender or genre, across all societal sectors. Every human being can be self-reliant, and there is an opportunity for growth in everything one sincerely chooses to do.
Jevin Sakariya alongside Fenil Sakariya hosted a tour for these students at HVK. These students were introduced to all stages and departments at the factory unit. They interacted with senior executives and team members from the technical, operational, marketing, accounting, and management teams.
They absorbed an exchange of education, skill, wisdom, and experience. The healthy flow of dialogue between the students and the team members of every department was youthful and refreshing.
The HVK Group supported and encouraged the curiosity of these young minds to have strong, independent, and informed views. The event was an educational tour for school-going teens, but as the quote above goes, when a person teaches someone, it’s not only the student but also the teacher who learns.
